OUR DETERMINATION
This document is
not only the election manifesto or not only our agenda of next five
years but it is much more than that.
This manifesto is
going to lay down the foundation for the development of Gujarat in
21st century.
This foundation
will become strong as Gujarat has already displayed its capability to
the nation. In the 10th Five Year Plan, the GDP growth of more than 10
percent is estimated for Gujarat which is a proof by itself. Gujarat has the
potential and strength for all-round development. Gujarat is capable of progressing in all the sectors of economy. Gujarat has
become the focal point of development for our country and the world at
large.
It is regrettable
that certain elements are making desperate efforts to create
obstructions in this development path of Gujarat. We shall defeat such elements.
What is absolutely
essential for the development journey of Gujarat is Security, Development and Hardwork.
We want to throw
the terrorists out from this border state. Anti-national elements
shall be over powered and antisocial elements shall be dealt through
PASA and POTA. It is needless to state that after achieving this basic
objectives, peace and prosperity is certain to follow.
This pilgrimage of
peace and prosperity of the state warrants ability of the citizens,
capability of the state as well as wide spread and efficient network
of infrastructure facilities. These three requirements are the basic
three colours of bright future and development of Gujarat.
Gujarat has to
bring about revolution in education, Gujarat has to bring about
revolution in irrigation, Gujarat has to bring about revolution in
power sector and Gujarat has to bring about revolution in agriculture sector. The combined
effect of revolution in this four sectors will relieve the people
living below the poverty line from their present state.
In the present
economic environment, middle class is getting eroded and we shall
ensure restoration of better living conditions for them. We shall
provide employment to millions of hand.
We shall provide
social security cover to widows, deserted citizens, senior citizens
and physically challenged citizens of the state.
We present this
manifesto before the people of Gujarat. We vouch to honours all this
commitments with the active cooperation and support of the people of
Gujarat.
