Shri Narendra Damodardas
Modi, was born on September 17, 1950 at Vadnagar town in Mehsana
District of north Gujarat. His mother's name is Hiraben who fondly
brought him up. From his boyhood, Narendra was bubbling with
enthusiasm to do something for the cause of the nation.This
patriotic fervor and nationalist spirit made him leave Vadnagar ,
his home town. At the age of 17 in 1967 he came to Ahmedabad and
